Introducing…

Nodestone is owned and operated by Graeme Sutherland and Libby Davy, partners in business and life. We’ve worked together and argued over the dishes for more than a decade. It’s a fertile union of geek wisdom and deep human stuff.

Because we are, strangely, passionate about the positive potential of social media and the internet in general - the creativity, dialogue and productivity is abundant. For better or for worse, it all ends up being discussed around the breakfast table and the office…

We’re going to get better at switching off sometimes, but we love it! Of course we also make sure we unplug, go camping and stay grounded. Infact we are often found banging on about the need to relate everything back to life in the real, “offline” world.


Of Love & Hacking (the back story)…


Deep breath. Gasp. Looks like we’ve been a part of the internet’s evolution for nearly 20 years. Through Gra’s early years in the Electronic Frontier Foundation and big names in Silicon Valley, my Oz/UK career in stakeholder relations, then online activism and education - through various startups, social enterprises and networks. It’s been quite a journey. Nice to take stock.

So yes, there are a couple of grey hairs between us, but we still hang out with hip, edgy youngsters as much as they let us (you know who you are). Generationally, we feel like we connect with late Boomers > Gen Y, which does helps when it comes to being able to think beyond our own immediate frame.

Always one for cool ideas, Gra courted me with mad plans to hack into the London tube system and display love poems of his own creation. Early social media you might say. Turned out, he’s far to law abiding for those sort of shennanigans. But imagination knows no boundaries - nor does love.

We work daily with a range of colleagues or partners at The Werks, our co-working space, and further afield. As we don’t carry the large overheads of an agency, we work in flexible, solid ways to provide what clients need.
