Social Media Learning Package


Stage One – Let’s Get Cracking

The initial stage of our SMLP gives you (and by extension, your team) the chance to really move ahead an understanding of social media and how to get it working in your own context No matter where you are based, this package can work for you.

What’s included?

  • One-on-one – Pre-course consultation: Initial needs analysis and personalised learning plan (by phone and email)
  • Group learning day – Full day of group-based, holistic social media education (face-to-face). Maximum 10 participants with two social media expert educators (Graeme Sutherland and Libby Davy).
  • Ongoing support
  • Learning Community - Invitation into an ongoing, facilitated, on-topic learning community within the sector (face-to-face / online)
  • Blog & Newsletter – Regular inspiration and information. Note: client projects and questions will be given priority to inspire/inform news stories, research and case studies.
  • Twitter – Daily Twitter updates with breaking news and examples plus a chance to experiment with a great community tool.

  • Promotion – of your learning and achievements throughout our network.
  • Talent hunt - help finding the right people and solutions for your extended project needs.
  • Attention online – via our extensive promotional network and being blogged on our sites.

Group Learning Day

Friday 11 July, 10.00 – 5.30 at The Lighthouse. It’s a lovely, big modern space, just a 5 minute stroll from Brighton station through the North Laines. Trains take about 45-60 minutes from London Bridge or Victoria.

  • Project brainstorm / live case studies - The chance to have your own project workshopped by social media specialists (three projects will be chosen to demonstrate what is possible).
  • Team learning – all course materials licensed under Creative Commons (can be shared with co-workers). Take them back to share and discuss with your team.
  • Healthy lunch included.
  • Networking event (optional) – afterwards in summery Brighton.

Note: you participate in as little or as much as you choose. Social media can be all consuming, but we live online so you don’t have to. Some regular social media involvement and experimentation is heartily recommended… naturally enough. Call or email to find out about the possibility of future dates.

We are looking for two motivated people / organisations to award 80% scholarships for Part One (and potentially, Part Two). Apply here.


Stage Two – Extra Support to Get Knowledge Into Action

Participants will benefit greatly from personal, specialist support after the initial learning day.

Make sure you and your organisation embed your learning and maximise your potential with a flexible extension packages.

We have discounted these packages for the Third Sector and given the incentive of pre-purchasing the help you need.

Ideally, you will have completed Stage One to move on to Stage Two. But you can go straight for Stage Two.

What’s included?

  • 3 x weekly individual phone sessions over 3-6 weeks (one hour+ each).
  • Email contact between sessions
  • 6 months access to our monthly Social Media Clinics in London or Brighton. Group size limited.

Include other team members in phone sessions if you wish.

Prefer face-to-face? Meet at our offices in Brighton or in London by arrangement.

1 + 2 = Essential Knowledge

By signing up for Stage One before July you’ll learn a lot. Maybe all you need for now. By adding in Stage Two you’ll be making sure your learning goes way beyond – and is being directed right into your projects and organisation. Together, Stage One & Two provide an integrated approach to meeting your action learning and strategic needs. One-on-one attention like this would cost £1000s in the bespoke commercial sector. A social media training day alone can cost £500+ As you can see, it’s much more than a one-day mass training event. It’s person-centred, real education within a strategic framework – tailored to your needs. (* 20% discount for purchasing both together or before 15 July. )
